DESCRIPTION:BGES-BAST ABDOMINAL CADAVER COURSE 2025 \n\nCourse Objectives \nMinimally invasive surgery is the gold standard in surgical practice. However\, many residents miss out on opportunities to master advanced procedures. This course aims to fill that gap by offering hands-on training in the most common laparoscopic surgical techniques in the field of abdominal surgery. Under the guidance of experienced surgeons\, participants will gain practical experience using human cadavers. These experienced surgeons will guide trainees through the challenges and complexities of each procedure. Each participant will have the opportunity to perform at least one procedure in a human cadaver as a first surgeon. The session had been split in two due to time constraints and screen fatigue. We are looking for 5 video presentations for monday december 11th\,2023. However\, residents often lack the opportunity to perform advanced procedures. This course is intended to provide hands-on training on the most common advanced minimally invasive surgical procedures in the field of abdominal surgery. A faculty of experienced minimally invasive surgeons will guide you through the advantages and pitfalls of these procedures. The hands-on training in human cadavers will offer the trainees the opportunity to “rehearse” these procedures in the presence of experienced supporting teachers.
