DESCRIPTION:Our next ATLS course\, organised by RBSS\, will take place on May 27 and 28 2024. This will be a Flemish language course held on the campus of Ziekenhuis Oost Limburg in Genk. \nCourse Directors: C. Van DIjck (ZOL) \n  \nThe registration fees are 900€ for residents and 1200 € for consultants and open for RBSS and non-RBSS members. DESCRIPTION:BGES-BAST ABDOMINAL CADAVER COURSE 2024 \n\nCourse Objectives \nMinimally invasive surgery is the gold standard in surgical practice. However\, many residents miss out on opportunities to master advanced procedures. This course aims to fill that gap by offering hands-on training in the most common laparoscopic surgical techniques in the field of abdominal surgery. Under the guidance of experienced surgeons\, participants will gain practical experience using human cadavers. These experienced surgeons will guide trainees through the challenges and complexities of each procedure. Each participant will have the opportunity to perform at least one procedure in a human cadaver as a first surgeon. Residents can choose to attend either the upper GI course on 30 May 2024\, the lower GI course on 31 May 2024\, or both. \n  \nProgram \n30 May 2024: Upper GI (Nissen\, Toupet\, Sleeve\, Gastric bypass) \n31 May 2024: Lower GI (Right and left hemicolectomy\, transversum\, TME) \n8u30-9u15: Welcome + short theoretical presentation \n9u30 – 12u30: Cadaver workshop \n12u30 – 13u30: lunch \n13u30 – 16u30: Cadaver workshop \n16u30 – 17u00: Q&A \nFaculty: Dr. H.
