DESCRIPTION:Belgian Section of Abdominal Wall surgery Tour 2023-2024 \n  \nDear 5th and 6th year residents\, \n  \nThe Belgian Section of Abdominal Wall Surgery ( BSAWS ) and the RBSS will organize a Hernia Tour during the 2023-2024 academic year. \nDuring this tour\, 2 residents with a specific interest in hernia surgery will visit 6 participating hospitals and have the opportunity to learn different techniques in hernia repair and engage in face-to-face discussions with the hernia specialists. \nEach visit will be a one-day visit and the tour includes both Flemish and French speaking hospitals. \nIf you are interested\, please send your curriculum vitae and motivational letter to Info@acta-medica-belgica.be and Anthony.beunis@gmail.com before 18/08/23. DESCRIPTION:ROBOTIC SURGERY TRAINING PROGRAM – Advanced Dry Lab (MODULE 2C) \n\nOur 3rd advanced dry-lab session (Module 2C)\, where you can earn your first assist certificate\, will be held on Saturday\, August 19th. This one-on-one training of one hour on the X DaVinci platform\, endorsed by Dr. K. Boterbergh\, will be held at A.S.Z. in Aalst. There is place for 4 participants. \nTo be eligible for participation in this session\, you must have successfully completed the following prerequisites: \n\nModule 1B: Online training module by Intuitive\nModule 1C: Basic skill simulator exercises on DaVinci SimNow trainer\nModule 1D: Hands-on system overview & dry lab with pelvic trainer. This can be achieved by either having attended a half-day course\, having completed a similar course\, or having a supervisor who can confirm your skills by signing the provided template\, available for download on our website.\n(Module 2A: Advanced simulator training. This module is not mandatory (though strongly advised) and can be completed at a later stage)\nModule 2B: A proven file of bedside assistance\, documented by a supervisor.
