The BAST has released a statement concerning recent news about class medicine in UZ Leuven.

We believe it is not the choice of room that decides who is operating, but the difficulty of the intervention, the medical history of the patient and the level of the assistant. With this statement we hope to be able to correct this misconception.

We released this statement together with the VASO – the national resident representatives.
